Design Technology

In Art & Design Technology Y2K began a new topic 'Puppets'.
They had lots of fun investigating real puppets to give them ideas for designing and making their own.

Literacy-Writing a Report

In Literacy Y2K have been learning how to organise information to write a report.

They went back in time to a Victorian classroom to learn how Victorian children went to school. They also wrote about Children working in Victorian times and Victorian toys.

They wrote some Fantastic Reports!




Humanities: Passport to the World



Year 2K ended their Humanities topic Passport to the World by checking their passports. They put on a great show to the Primary School as a class assembly and demonstrated some of the facts that they had learned about different countries.

Science: Life Cycles of Plants


Children have been looking at the stages of a plants life cycle. They planted seeds and are going to undertake an investigation to find out what happens to plants in a variety of different living conditions.

Humanities

During our Humanities topic 'Passport to the World' the children have been finding out about France and can locate France on a map. Children became artists for the day and painted some wonderful artworks of the famous French landmark the Eiffel Tower.






Numeracy-Time



Year 2K have been telling the time to the nearest quarter hour. Children matched analogue times to digital times and also learned how to order times.
