Review & preview
English

This week we began to look at how the theme of singing was developed in the novel.
|
Next week we will be looking at how several themes are developed and using quotes to support our points of view.

Maths

This week we solved addition and subtraction problems with numbers up to 2 decimal places. At the end of the week we moved onto tests of divisibility.

Next week we will develop our understanding of prime numbers, factors and square roots.

Art
|
This week we continued looking closely, using coloured pencils and shading to improve our drawing of Jupiter.

PSHE
| We discussed what three things we can do and how we can do them to ensure we are kind towards others. |
We shall continue our efforts to ensure we are as kind as we can be.

Humanities
| This week we have designed an advertisement focusing on colour, wording and placement of picture and wording to make it effective. |
Next week we will review our advertisements against the success criteria and discuss how to improve them.

This week began thinking about how we can present information in a balanced way but favours one point of view.

Last week we have began our novel study of Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. Beginning with how authors "hook" readers in. We began to developing our confidence to form and give our own opinions based on evidence from the text.
