During our most recent Literacy lessons, we have been
learning how to write instructions. First, we analyzed instructional texts. We
looked at the key features and decided which ones we thought were well written
and which we believed could have been improved.
Next, we had a go at following instructions ourselves. Miss
Campbell gave us some which explained how to make the perfect Snakes and
Ladders board game, it was lots of fun! Then, we checked each other’s work to
ensure that our friends had followed the instruction carefully. Luckily, most
people had.
Eventually, it was time for us to write instructions to our games, these were all very clear!
Finally, we were allowed to play our games, we enjoyed this part very much!
We will be bringing these home so that we can play with our families too!
