Review & Preview

English
Last week we looked at different types of Halloween poetry and comprehension.
This week we have begun looking at stories from different cultures around the world. We will also be looking at comic strips in preparation for our visit to the Bat Cat Museum and subsequent comic strip story that we will be writing to share with the children of Camillian House next month. 
Maths
Last week we found out about factors and equivalent fractions.
This week we will finish off our equivalent fractions work and continue to use mental methods for multiplying by 10 and 100. We will begin to use written methods for multiplying 3 or 4 digit numbers by single digits.


Art
Last week we drew and cut out Halloween decorations.
This week we will begin to think of how sounds and music can be represented by shapes and colours.
PSHE
Last week we talked about keeping safe and enjoying Halloween.
This week we will be thinking about how we enjoy ourselves, keep safe and get the most out of our museum trip. 
Humanities
Last week we found out about the origins of Halloween and how it has evolved over time.
This week we have begun learning about the different continents and oceans of the world.
Science
Last week we found out about blood and the different states of matter.
This week we will be learning about how sound is created and how it travels.
Notices and Events
We have PE on Monday.
We have Swimming on Tuesday.
Wednesday we have the Bat Cat Museum visit.
We have Library on Thursday (remember to bring your books).
Golden time is on Friday.
