This week 3C have been very busy exploring the absorbency of different materials. We wanted to find out which paper is the most absorbent and would be best to mop up our spills. We tested newspaper, paper towel , toilet paper, sugar paper and computer paper. Most of the children predicted that toilet paper would be the most absorbent however our tests proved otherwise...
After all of the fun we had using the test equipment and gathering the data, it was to analyse our results.
The overall winner was the paper towel!
Tomorrow we plan to follow up this lesson by finding out which teacher uses the most absorbent paper towel at home. Let's hope that everyone remembers to bring a sample for us to test! Keep posted for the results...
